Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting a reliable and customer-focused Class 2 Driver for a well-established food distribution operation. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV drivers and newly qualified Class 2 drivers looking to build valuable driving experience.

The role involves delivering chilled and frozen food products to hospitality businesses across the South West. You will complete multi-drop deliveries on planned routes while providing excellent customer service. One of the biggest attractions of this role is the working pattern. This is a Monday-to-Friday position with no weekend work.

£35,508.00 per annum

Location: Field-based driving role covering delivery routes across the South West.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver chilled and frozen food products to restaurants, cafes, pubs, hotels and takeaways across the South West
  • Complete up to 30 deliveries per day
  • Carry out vehicle checks and complete all required paperwork
  • Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point
  • Ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time
  • Follow all Driver CPC, tachograph and road transport regulations
  • Represent the business professionally while on customer sites

Qualifications:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (Category C)
  • Professional and reliable approach to work
  • Previous Class 2 multi-drop delivery experience
  • Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply, as full training is provided
