Driver Hire is recruiting 5 HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for one of the UK’s best-known toy retailers based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
We’re offering full-time ongoing work from 1st September through to the New Year, with a variety of shift patterns available to suit different drivers.
Whether you prefer days, nights, tramping or depot-to-depot trunking work, this employer has the opportunities available.

Pay Rates
- Weekday Days: £16. per hour
- Weekday Nights: £17.37 per hour
- Saturdays: £17.37 per hour
- Sundays: £19.34 per hour
- Bank Holidays: £19.34 per hour
The Role
You’ll be delivering goods throughout the UK network and stores, ensuring loads are transported safely, professionally and on time. Duties include:
- Vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Completion of delivery paperwork
- Compliance with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Professional and reliable approach to work
- Good understanding of UK drivers’ hours and road transport regulations
Before starting, all successful drivers will complete a short on‑site assessment with the client’s in‑house training team.
Following a successful assessment, you’ll be able to start work immediately.
