Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for flexible, ad hoc work across a range of clients in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. - Typical start times: 7:00am or 11:00am
- Extra shifts often available to cover holidays and peak periods
Pay Rates:
- Monday to Friday: £14.50 per hour (PAYE), £16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
- Overtime (after 8 hours): £19.32 per hour (PAYE), £21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
- Minimum 8 hours’ pay per shift
- Weekly pay (holiday pay accrued unless PAYE Advanced selected)
Responsibilities:
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop deliveries
- Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
- Handling goods safely, including some heavy items
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
Requirements:
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
