We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver on behalf of a busy builders merchants based in Crewe, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands‑on role and thrives in a fast‑paced yard environment.

Key Duties

  • Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
  • Assisting customers with enquiries and providing excellent customer service
  • Liaising with the office team regarding stock and deliveries
  • Supporting general yard duties as required
  • Manual handling duties where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A valid Counterbalance FLT licence
  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or builders merchants environment (preferred)

  • Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
