Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a well-established client, with roles available across both East and West depot locations. Whether you’re looking for flexible shifts or a consistent full-time role, we have opportunities to suit your availability. Immediate starts available.
- Shifts offered on an as-and-when basis
- Typical start time: 7:00am Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
- Consistent 8:00am starts
- Ongoing work with long-term potential
- Additional shifts may be available across both depots depending on demand.
PAYE:
- £14.50 per hour
- £19.32 per hour (after 8 hours)
- PAYE Advanced: £16.25 per hour
- £21.66 per hour (after 8 hours)
Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift. Weekly pay.
Responsibilities include:
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle completing multi-drop deliveries
- Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate records
- Providing a professional and friendly customer service
Requirements:
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
