Full time, Permanent, 40 hours per week. Driver Hire, the UKs largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company have been engaged by our client to fulfil a permanent role in their rapidly expanding team. We are therefore currently seeking a professional HGV Class 2 IPAF Driver to take on their full-time role.
Most days it is multiple collections and deliveries so it can be quite a physical job. IPAF training and previous experience is an essential requirement for this role. The candidate should have a proven track record in the use of GPS and routing software. Finally, the successful candidate will always perform in an efficient and courteous manner when working within the dedicated same day delivery industry.
HGV Class 2 IPAF Driver responsibilities:
- Carrying out deliveries and collections to and from various business premises.
- Verifying the contents of your delivery and taking precise instructions into account.
- Being comfortable with driving in heavy traffic or potentially unsociable hours.
- Driving in a safe manner, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations at all times.
- Completing regular in-depth vehicle inspections.
- Report any mechanical problems or defects found in your vehicle.
HGV Class 2 IPAF Driver Key Skills & Experience:
- A valid UK driving licence with no more than 3 points.
- IPAF certification.
- Previous driving experience is a must.
- Valid CPC & Medical - qualified to drive Class 2 vehicles.
- Previous experience in operating or loading/unloading a variety of plant or access equipment.
