We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver on behalf of our client in the Torbay area. Deliveries could be local or regional, with long days involved. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
The Role:
- Delivering products to Trade and Direct customers locally and regionally
- Ensuring loads are safely secured and deliveries completed safely and on time
- Checking goods with customers and completing delivery paperwork
- Manual handling and some heavy lifting involved
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and managing tachograph records in line with legislation
- Following all company health & safety procedures
- Working alone or as part of a dual-manned crew
- Monday to Friday with start times from 02:00 dependant on destination
- Occasional nights out required (overnight bonus paid)
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Digital tachograph card and full DQC/CPC card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience essential
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
- Happy to drive any vehicle from 3.5T – 26T dependant on the day's load
- Positive “can do” attitude
