We are currently looking for experienced and reliableClass 2 Recycling & Waste Driverto join our team in Calne.
This is a great opportunity for a professional HGV Class 2 driver looking for regular work with a well-established waste and recycling operation.
The Role
As a Class 2 Recycling & Waste Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle while carrying out local waste and recycling collections.
Your duties will include:
- Driving a Class 2 HGV safely and responsibly.
- Carrying out waste and recycling collections across the local area.
- Working as part of a team with loaders and collection crews.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Ensuring waste and recycling is collected safely and efficiently.
- Following all company, health & safety and environmental procedures.
- Providing a professional and courteous service to customers and members of the public.
Requirements
- ValidClass 2 (Cat C) HGV licence.
- ValidCPC qualificationand Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous HGV driving experience.
- Waste, recycling or refuse collection experience is desirable but not essential.
- Good knowledge of road safety and relevant driving regulations.
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team and undertake some physical work.
