Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle safely and professionally
  • Carry out trade waste collections and deliveries
  • Complete flatbed deliveries across the local area
  • Operate RoRo skip vehicles as required
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete relevant paperwork
  • Deliver excellent customer service at collection and delivery points
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and manual handling duties
  • Work as part of a team to complete daily schedules efficiently

Qualifications:

  • Maximum of 6 penalty points on driving licence
  • Ability to travel to the Barnstaple depot for 04:00 starts
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling and lifting duties
  • Mobile phone for communication and shift updates
  • Previous waste industry experience
  • Knowledge of local routes across North Devon
  • Monday to Friday working pattern
  • Occasional Saturday work available
  • Occasional afternoon shifts starting at 14:00
  • Minimum 8 hours paid per shift
  • Pension contributions
