Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) works with a wide range of established transport and logistics companies throughout North Devon, offering temporary, ongoing, and permanent driving work. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive HGV Class 1 Category CE and HGV Class 2 Category C vehicles safely and professionally.
- Complete deliveries and collections throughout North Devon and surrounding areas.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
- Complete delivery paperwork and records accurately.
- Follow all transport legislation, driver hours regulations, working time rules, and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain high standards of customer service while representing Driver Hire/dh Recruitment and our clients.
- Work across a variety of assignments, including general haulage, pallet network deliveries, food and beverage distribution, and multi-drop work.
Qualifications:
- Full HGV Category C licence or HGV Category CE licence.
- Reliable and professional approach to work.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Previous HGV driving experience.
- Knowledge of roads and routes across North Devon.
- Flexible approach to shift patterns and assignments.
