We are looking to hire HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers for roles across Barnstaple & the wider North Devon area. We are looking for both experienced drivers and newly qualified HGV drivers who want to gain valuable commercial driving experience. We work with a range of well-established transport and logistics companies across the area and regularly have temporary, ongoing, and permanent opportunities available. Whether you are looking for extra shifts alongside another agency, ongoing work, or your first HGV role after passing your test, we would like to hear from you.
Location: Barnstaple and across North Devon
Pay: £16.87 per hour PAYE Advance, with other PAYE models available. Weekly pay every Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving HGV Class 1 Category CE or HGV Class 2 Category C vehicles safely and professionally
- Completing deliveries and collections across North Devon and surrounding areas
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Following all transport regulations, working time rules, and health and safety procedures
- Representing Driver Hire/dh Recruitment and our clients professionally at all times
- Working across a range of driving roles, including multi-drop deliveries, food and beverage distribution, pallet network deliveries, and general haulage
Qualifications:
- Full HGV Category C or Category CE driving licence
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Good communication and time management skills
- Previous experience in HGV driving roles
- Knowledge of routes across North Devon
- Flexible approach to shift patterns and work types
- Newly qualified HGV drivers are very welcome to apply
