HGV Class 2 Driver - Temp to Perm

We are looking for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client\’s Team on a permanent position.

• £17.00 per hour after passing probation (£15.15 with holiday pay during probation)
• Monday – Friday with the option to work weekends.

Driver Hire, the UK\’s largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company have been engaged by a major European company to recruit their HGV Class 2 Drivers. Based in Manchester, you will be collecting drums of used cooking oil from various Northwest locations. Those will include Hotels, Restaurants, Bars Takeways etc.
Our client is looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver to take a full time Temp to Perm role.

• You assist customers in a friendly manner and ensure excellent service. Customer satisfaction is particularly important to us!
• On average, you visit 15 to 25 customers per day – no problem for you!
• You follow the route planned for you and collect from Restaurants, Hotels, and other businesses.
• You work independently, enjoy your journeys, and keep your administration simple using a smartphone or tablet.
• At the end of the day, you deliver our collected load, and your workday is done. Ready for a new journey tomorrow!
• Start time of approximately 10:00, finishing no later than 20:00.

HGV Class 2 Driver will need:

• Experience as a driver collecting goods? That\’s a plus, but not essential.
• You are physically fit and can lift, move, and load barrels without any problem. Hard work and long days don\’t scare you!
• A valid driving licence (Category C) – with no more than 3 penalty points.
• You speak good English.

HGV Class 2 Driver Duties will include:

• Driving company vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Conducting required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
• Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
• Dealing with customers face to face in a polite and courteous manner.
