Role: HGV Class 1 Timber Deliver Driver
Salary: GBP17.35 per hour including holiday pay (GBP15.50 with accrued holiday pay)
Location: South Manchester, Salford, Trafford Park, Urmston, Irlam and Carrington
Work Pattern: Full time, contract, temporary, or part-time to suit
We are currently recruiting a HGV Class 1 Timber Deliver Driver for a well-established timber company based in Salford. They require a temporary (working 5-days per week), customer facing HGV Class 1 Timber Deliver Driver in a long-term role with the honest possibility of a FULL TIME PERMANENT ROLE on successful completion of probationary period.
The successful HGV Class 1 Timber Deliver Driver will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, and physically fit. Carrying out runs to and from the depot and deliveries around the northwest. Start time is 07:00 am to approx. 16:00 with some overtime.
HGV Class 1 Timber Deliver Driver responsibilities:
- Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress
- Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
- Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
- Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
- Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
HGV Class 1 Timber Deliver Driver requirements:
- No more than 6 points (No DD\'s, DR\'s, IN\'s, TT\'s)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Full UK Driving licence, held for 1 year
- Cat-C+E Licence (HGV Class 1)
- Experience driving a C+E vehicle (HGV Class 1)

We offer a true, honest, and personal service and you will deal directly with the business owner. Plus, attractive rate of pay PLUS, regular overtime, paid weekly via PAYE. Hourly pay Rate of GBP17.35 (includes holiday pay) but can be accrued should you wish.
