Salary: £19.05 per hour including holiday pay (£17.00 with accrued holiday pay)

Location: South Manchester, Salford, Trafford Park, Urmston, Irlam and Carrington

Work Pattern: Full time, contract, temporary, or part-time to suit

Driver Hire, the UK’s largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company, have been engaged by several major European companies to fulfil their permanent and ad-hoc/driver cover requirements. We are therefore currently seeking several HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for various roles and contract terms (to suit you) in and around Trafford Park.

As a HGV Class 1 Night Driver you will be required to carry out depot to depot deliveries and trailer swaps, taking and following instructions from the transport teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress
  • Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
  • Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
  • Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
  • Completing paperwork accurately as instructed

Requirements:

  • No more than 6 points (No DDs, DRs, INs, TTs)
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Full UK Driving licence, held for 1 year
  • Cat-C+E Licence (HGV Class 1)
