Driver Hire Lincoln is recruiting a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to support general haulage operations for a client based in Horncastle. This is a long‑term, ongoing position, providing 5 days per week.

Position Details

  • Location: Horncastle, Lincolnshire
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Employment Type: Long term - ongoing
  • Pay: £14.80 per hour (first 8 hours), £19.75 per hour (overtime after 8 hours)
  • Weekly PAYE pay every Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • 06:00 start time
  • 10‑12 hour days
  • Complete 1–3 deliveries per day, both locally and nationwide
  • Transport goods safely and efficiently
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain delivery records
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and clients
  • Adhere to all safety and operational procedures
  • All loads forklifted off at each delivery point

Candidate Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV/LGV Class 2 C licence
  • CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
  • No major endorsements (maximum 6 penalty points)
  • Hi‑vis clothing and safety boots
  • Personal transport to get to and from work
