About the Role
Driver Hire Leeds West is recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to support a varied roster of clients across the Leeds area. Drivers may be required for builders merchants, general haulage or multi‑drop delivery to stores, covering both full‑time, part‑time and ad‑hoc shifts. Reliability and flexibility are essential to accommodate last‑minute shift coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Work independently to transport goods for a range of clients, covering a variety of routes and shift patterns. Maintain clear communication with consultants regarding availability and respond promptly to shift offers. Adhere to safety procedures and company policies during all assignments.
Pay
Rates start at £15.69 per hour for Class 2 work, with holiday pay upfront. Overtime and weekend rates exceed £18.94 per hour. Pay is processed weekly through the company payroll system with no charges for payslips.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Class 2 driving experience
- Fully up‑to‑date licence with no more than 6 points and no Drink, Drug or T99 endorsements
- Full CPC card
- Safety boots and Hi‑Vis apparel
- Flexibility, clear communication and honesty
- Experience with HIAB and Moffett preferred (tickets required)
