Driver Hire Inverness is currently recruiting for a Class 1 driver to join our retail distribution client based on the outskirts of Inverness (Dalcross).
Our client runs a 7-day operation out of Dalcross, with work ranging from trunking down to the Central Belt through to store deliveries. You'll work any 5 days out of 7.
- Ongoing position, working any 5 days out of 7
- Salary - £39,956.80
- Hourly rate - £18.08
- 10/12 hour shifts.
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:
- Trunking to the Central Belt and delivering to storefronts
- Unloading cages from the back of the trailer at each drop
- Ensuring loads are safe and secure throughout
- Covering Class 2 work when required
- You'll work any 5 days out of 7.
To be considered as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence held for a minimum of 6 months
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
- No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DR, DD, DG, CD, IN or TT endorsement codes
- A willingness to cover Class 2 work when available
Typical Duties May Include:
- Performing daily checks on your vehicle
- Delivering windows and doors to customers
- Strapping down of goods
