We are currently recruiting a Class 2 Driver with the willingness to gain their HIAB licence for an ongoing role based in Dingwall. This is a fantastic opportunity that could lead to permanent employment with our client for the right candidate. Offering no evenings or overnight stays. This is a varied, hands-on role delivering building materials to customers across the local area. Safety, reliability and excellent customer service are key, and no previous HIAB experience is required as full training will be provided.
Role Details:
- Monday to Fridays
- Approx. 44.5 hours per week
- Hiab Training provided
- Class 2 rate - £16.50 ph with £18.75 OT paid after 8 hours worked
- Class 2 Hiab rate - £17.50 ph with £20.25 OT paid after 8 hours worked (Hiab rate paid once you have Hiab Ticket)
- Ongoing role - leading to Permanent placement for right person
- Competitive Salary and Bonus scheme once offered permanent employment
Typical Duties May Include:
- Operating a HIAB (training provided if required)
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely
- Around 14 drops per day
- Providing excellent customer service
- Securing loads in line with safety regulations
- Conducting daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining compliance
- Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Licence
- CPC & Digital Tacho Card
- Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR, TT, or IN convictions)
This role is ideal for an experienced driver who enjoys a hands-on position and takes pride in operating safely and professionally within the plant transport sector.
