Cement Mixer/ Tipper Driver – Temp to Perm
Kyleakin, Isle of Skye
Monday to Friday | Full-Time
£14.05 ph + Overtime + Daily Cleaning Bonus
We\’re currently recruiting for a Cement Mixer/ Tipper Driver to join a busy aggregates and construction materials supplier on Skye. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long‑term potential for the right candidate. Immediate start also available.
What We Offer:
- Immediate start available
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- Flexible start times required due to the nature of the work
- Occasional Saturday overtime
- Training can be provided
- PAYE: £14.05 per hour paid weekly
- Overtime between 8 – 12 hours worked, paid at x 1.5
- Overtime between 12 – 15 hours worked, paid at x 2
- Daily cleaning payment in addition to hourly rate
- Local work – home every night
Typical Duties May Include:
- Driving and operating a Class 2 cement mixer truck to deliver ready‑mix concrete to sites
- Ensuring safe and timely delivery of materials to various local locations
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Loading and unloading the mixer safely and efficiently
- Cleaning the mixer drum and vehicle at the end of each shift (daily cleaning payment provided)
- Communicating with site staff and dispatch teams to ensure smooth delivery operations
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (No DR, TT or IN convictions)
- Previous experience with mixer or aggregates work is desirable but not essential
- A flexible and reliable approach to start times and duties
- Good communication and customer service skills
