Driver Hire Huddersfield are recruiting for experienced Van drivers based in West Yorkshire. If you are an experienced driver with multi‑drop or flatbed vans or with skills including strapping, why not join us? We are working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth.
These roles are for temporary and ad‑hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands. We need candidates with delivery driver experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
- Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely.
- Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
- Be in possession of a Full UK driving licence (held 2 years).
- Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
- Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.
These roles may also include non‑driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with doing some lifting and have a good demonstration of safe loading.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence (held 2 years).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Driving record with no more than 6 points for minor traffic offences.
Benefits

- 8‑hour minimum daily guaranteed.
- £12.21 Basic.
- £16.00 Overtime.
- £13.75 Nights.
- Wages done at source through PAYE.
- Auto enrollment into a Pension through NOW Pensions.
