Driver Hire Huddersfield are seeking Category C - Class 2 LGV Drivers to join us working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands. A high level of these roles can mature into permanent positions.

We work with a wide variety of prestigious clients, so positions may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
  • Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely.
  • Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
  • Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue day work can be offered.

Requirements:

  • Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
  • Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
  • Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

Benefits:

  • 8 Hours minimum daily guaranteed.
  • £13.75 Basic.
  • £18.15 Overtime.
  • £15.35 Nights.
  • Holiday Pay Accrued.
  • Wages done at source through PAYE.
  • Auto enrollment into a Pension through NOW Pensions.

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with doing some lifting and a good demonstration of safe loading. This position would be perfect for someone who has a flexible approach to work and enjoys variety. Immediate starts are available following successful reference checks.
