Driver Hire Huddersfield are seeking Category C - Class 2 LGV Drivers to join us working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands. A high level of these roles can mature into permanent positions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
- Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely.
- Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
- Be prepared for some nights out, although day work can be offered if this is an issue.
- These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle, and candidates should be comfortable with some lifting and demonstrating safe loading.
Qualifications:
- Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
- Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
- Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.
