We are currently looking for Category C+E – Class 1 LGV Drivers to join us working alongside prestigious clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Holmfirth and Meltham. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting clients covering holiday, sickness and increases in business demand. Most clients are looking for a minimum of 1 year’s worth of experience on this entitlement.
Responsibilities
- Trunking work, curtainsiders, flatbeds and tail lift experience
- Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off
- Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely
- Liaise with customers at the point of delivery
- Some nights out may be required; if this is an issue day work can be offered
- These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with lifting and demonstrate safe loading.
Requirements
- Possession of a Cat C+E (Class 1) UK driving licence
- Current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Right to work in the UK
- No more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences
