Driver Hire Huddersfield are seeking Category C - Class 2 HGV Drivers to join us working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting clients covering holiday, sickness and increases in business demand. A high level of these roles can mature into permanent positions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
- Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely.
- Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
- Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue day work can be offered.
- Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
- Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
- Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with some lifting and a good demonstration of safe loading. This position is perfect for someone who has a flexible approach to work and enjoys variety. You can be made available to start following successful reference checks.
