Driver Hire Huddersfield are currently looking for Category C+E - Class 1 HGV Drivers to join us working alongside prestigious clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Holmfirth and Meltham. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting clients covering holiday and sickness and increasing business demands. Most clients are looking for a minimum 1 year’s worth of experience on this entitlement.
Role
- Trunking work, curtainsiders, flatbeds and tail lift experience
- Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off
- Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely
- Liaise with customers at the point of delivery
- Some nights out may be required, although day work can be offered if night work is an issue
- Comfortable with lifting and safe loading; some non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle may be required
Requirements
- Possession of a Category C+E (Class 1) UK driving licence
- Current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Right to work in the UK
- No more than 6 points on the driving licence for minor traffic offences
