Driver Hire Huddersfield is looking for Category C - Class 2 LGV Drivers to join our team and work alongside clients across Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth. These roles are temporary and ad-hoc bookings supporting holiday, sickness and business demand cover. High-level roles may lead to permanent positions. Drivers without a CPC may obtain training through www.driverhiretraining.co.uk.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
  • Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo reach their destination safely.
  • Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
  • Some nights out may be required, although day work can be offered if nights are an issue.
  • Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
  • Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
  • Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

Benefits

  • Locally based work.
  • 8 hours minimum daily guaranteed.
  • £14.00 basic.
  • £18.40 overtime.
  • £15.60 nights.
  • Holiday pay accrued.
