Driver Hire Huddersfield are on the lookout for 7.5t Drivers based in the Kirklees area. We are seeking 7.5t LGV Drivers Category C1 to join us working alongside clients throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Holmfirth and Meltham. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands. The candidates must possess both a DQC CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.

We work with a wide variety of prestigious clients, so positions may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
  • Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely.
  • Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.

Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue, day work can be offered.

Requirements:

  • Be in possession of a Cat C1 (7.5T) UK driving licence
  • Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK
  • Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore, candidates should be comfortable with doing some lifting and have a good demonstration of safe loading. This position would be perfect for someone who has a flexible approach to work and enjoys variety.
