Driver Hire Huddersfield are seeking Category C – Class 2 HGV Drivers to join us working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands. A high level of these roles can mature into permanent positions. Drivers will have held their Category C licence for at least 2 years and hold no more than 6 points.
Responsibilities:
- Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
- Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely.
- Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
- Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue day work can be offered.
Qualifications:
- Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
- Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
- Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidate should be comfortable with lifting and a good demonstration of safe loading.
