Overview

Driver Hire are seeking a reliable, experienced Cat B Van Driver to join our client based in Godalming. They are a leading catering butcher and you will be delivering vacuum packed, sealed, perishable items to pubs, hotels, restaurants and holiday parks in a refrigerated transit-sized van. You will be delivering across the South and there are frequent runs into central London so you must be comfortable with this. The ideal candidate will also have experience in commercial driving and possess excellent communication skills. Plenty of hand-balling so you will need to be physically fit, you will have the use of a trolley. You will be required to work Monday to Saturday every week and would therefore expect to earn in excess of £30k per year. You will also have the use of the van for your commute to and from work.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily vehicle walk round checks
  • Ensure load is safely secured
  • Assist with planning your route for the day
  • Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed on each drop
  • Be Health and Safety Focused in all aspects of the role
  • Possess the flexibility to go the extra mile and have a full commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Use initiative and have an organised approach to your role and workload
  • Physically fit as lifting / handballing will be required
