Driver Hire Guildford are working with a true specialist in their field, recovering vehicles from continental Europe and returning them home to the UK. Operating from Surrey, they have been doing this for over 4 decades.

You will need to have experience of vehicle recovery but if you haven’t done it in a class 1, or in Europe, don’t worry, they know how to get you up to speed. You will be travelling all over Europe to collect a wide range of vehicles and then get the pleasure of returning someone’s pride and joy back home. If you like being out on the road, sleeping in your cab and travelling the continent, all whilst being paid a great salary, this could well be the job for you.

Responsibilities of the Cat C+E, HGV Class 1 Recovery Driver
  • Driving and operating your Class 1 vehicle.
  • Operating required machinery, equipment to load & secure a wide variety of vehicles.
  • Regular travel throughout Europe, up to 2 weeks at a time.
  • Adhere to all drivers' hours and tacho regulations.
  • Daily walk round checks.
Requirements of the HGV Class 1, Cat C+E Recovery Driver
  • UK licence with Cat C+E entitlement.
  • Experience in vehicle recovery (ideally in a class 1 or 2 vehicle).
  • CPC card.
  • Digi tacho card.
  • Verifiable references.
  • Max 6 minor penalty points.
