Looking for a role where you can build your career, take on real responsibility and learn a bit of everything? Driver Hire is the UK's leading specialist logistics recruiter, with over 35 years of industry experience and a nationwide network of offices. We’re looking for a National Accounts Executive to join our National Accounts team at our Bradford Head Office. This is a varied, early-career role combining customer support, operational administration, technology support and account management. We’re a commercially focused team, so you’ll spend time understanding our customers' businesses, building relationships and helping deliver an excellent service. You’ll also support customer projects, analyse data, solve problems and work closely with colleagues across the business. You don’t need to arrive knowing everything. We’ll provide the training, support and guidance you need. What we’re looking for is someone who enjoys solving problems, pays attention to detail, asks good questions and can confidently manage a variety of tasks.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Client Digital Services, as a National Accounts Executive, you’ll support some of Driver Hire's largest national accounts, our National Account Managers and nationwide office network, while managing a small portfolio of customer accounts of your own. A key part of the role involves supporting ClearCite, our customer-facing technology platform. As a National Accounts Executive, you’ll help customers and offices use the system effectively, investigate issues and work with colleagues to deliver solutions. You’ll also support the wider team on a variety of administrative tasks, customer projects, reporting and key initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building relationships with and supporting a portfolio of customer accounts
- Providing friendly, professional and solutions-focused support to customers and our nationwide office network
- Analysing data and identifying trends to support reviews, reports, proposals and presentations
- Assisting with customer projects and account development activities
Systems & Operational Support
- Supporting customers and offices with our technology platform
- Investigating issues and queries through to resolution
- Maintaining customer, rate and system information accurately
- Contributing to process improvements and operational projects
About You
The National Accounts team works collaboratively, sharing workloads and supporting each other when priorities change, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and is happy to get involved wherever needed. This National Accounts Executive role would suit a recent graduate, although we’ll also consider candidates who have developed relevant skills through an apprenticeship or experience in customer service, administration, sales support or a fast-paced office environment. We’re more interested in your attitude and potential than direct industry experience.
You’ll be someone who:
- Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Enjoys helping people and delivering great customer service
- Communicates confidently and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion
- Enjoys solving problems and finding practical solutions
- Is comfortable working with data and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Has an interest in understanding customers and how businesses operate
- Adapts well when priorities change
- Is willing to ask questions, share ideas and learn
You don’t need to tick every box. If you’re keen to learn, willing to get involved and excited by a role with plenty of variety and opportunity, we’d like to hear from you.
