The Role Driver Hire, the UK’s largest specialist logistics recruiter with a 40-year history, is seeking an Area Development Manager for the South East Division. You will provide management and business support to franchised offices, driving territory sales revenue growth through new business and existing accounts, while ensuring operational objectives like candidate management and compliance are met. Key Responsibilities As an Area Development Manager you need to: * Train and support staff for client visits and presentations, maximizing sales opportunities. * Guide pricing policies, assist in sales and marketing plans, and ensure successful client campaigns. * Monitor sales activities through KPIs and optimize promotional opportunities. * Advise on driver recruitment and retention strategies, ensuring competitive pay and benefits. * Collaborate with franchisees on business plans and financial forecasts, providing regular progress updates. * Assist in recruiting and training staff, recommend pay packages, and organize territory meetings. * Mediate disputes, monitor daily operations for compliance, and report significant issues. * Share best practices, attend meetings, produce performance reports, and liaise between franchisees and Group Services. What You Need to Be Successful A successful Area Development Manager will need to have: * Extensive sales and recruitment experience, ideally in multi-site management. * Strong sales achievements, commercial acumen, and understanding of P&Ls. * Sales-driven, tenacious, and credible with excellent interpersonal skills. * Ability to train franchisees and staff on cold calling and door knocking. * Full UK driving licence, eligibility to work in the UK, and a solid employment history.
