We are recruiting an Engineering Operative to support our client, working full time Monday to Friday. The role offers a wide range of mechanical and workshop tasks, involving hydraulic attachments, general engineering duties, and preparation of equipment for hire or sale. After a 10 week temp period through ourselves, the successful candidate will transfer permanently to our client.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 07:30-17:30 (flexibility required for additional hours)
Pay: £15.50/hr (accrued holidays) or £17.37/hr (advanced holidays)
Contract: 10 weeks temp via ourselves, Permanent transfer to client
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out basic engineering and mechanical tasks
- Metalworking: drilling, lathe work, grinding, band saw operation
- Use of torque equipment
- Disassembly and reassembly of hydraulic attachments
- Working with hydraulic components
- Pressure washing and cleaning of equipment
- Basic painting and finishing
- Basic welding tasks
- Forklift driving (training/experience beneficial)
- Preparing attachments for hire and sale
- Completing service checklists and documentation
- Following instructions, drawings, and manuals accurately
- Maintaining attention to detail throughout all tasks
