Driver Hire Gatwick is seeking experienced Class 2 Drivers for one of our clients who are a prestigious haulage company. You will be collecting and delivering palletised goods in a curtainsider lorry. This could be an ongoing or Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Up to 5-12 deliveries depending on distance.
- Monday to Friday starting between 05:30 and 07:30.
- Ensure compliance with driving regulations.
- Make sure all paperwork is signed, accurate and distributed.
- Deliver and collect freight to agreed service levels.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks which fulfil health and safety criteria.
- Oversee safe loading and unloading of goods.
- Make sure loads are secure.
Qualifications/Experience:
- You must hold a valid driving license, CPC card and tach card.
- Be able to operate the vehicle responsibly and safely, ensuring loads are safe and secure.
- No more than 6 points, with no major endorsements/convictions. No (CD/IN/DR/TT).
- Would need to live within 10 miles of the workplace in Lingfield.
- Minimum one year relevant driving experience.
- Good navigational skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
