Driver Hire is looking for a Yard Operative/Driver to join one of our very well‑established clients based in the Horsham area. It is a temp‑to‑perm full‑time opportunity for the right candidate. You will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and organized operation of the depot and vehicle fleet.

About the role:

  • Monday to Friday – shifts are flexible, starting between 7:00 and 8:00 am, 7.4 hours daily
  • Ensuring all equipment and materials are stored correctly and safely
  • Managing the organized and safe parking of vehicles upon their return to the depot
  • Transporting parts, tools, and vehicles for MOTs and other inspections, contributing to the maintenance and repair of the fleet
  • Moving a wide range of vehicles within the depot as needed to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations
  • Assisting with vehicle reversing and parking when required
  • Supporting the transportation of crew members to various locations to help maintain an efficient service

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role is required
  • Must hold a CatB driving licence; a 7.5T licence is preferable
  • Be able to operate the vehicle responsibly and safely, ensuring loads are safe and secure
  • No more than 6 points, with no major endorsements or convictions. No CD/IN/DR/TT
  • Live within 15 miles of the workplace in Horsham
  • Right to work in the UK
