Class 2 Driver - Airport Operations
Location: Airport-based
Shift Pattern: 5 on / 3 off (including early starts from 3:00am)
The Role
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for operating specialist airport vehicles and supporting flight operations, including:
- Driving specialised units such as high loaders for aircraft catering and cargo dollies
- Transporting air freight, pallets, and mail between secure warehouses and aircraft
- Operating safely within a busy airside environment
- Liaising with flight crews, ramp agents, and ground operations teams
- Ensuring all loads are handled in line with airport safety and security procedures
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Provide 5 years of checkable work history (airport security requirement)
- Have a minimum of 1 year's Class 2 driving experience
- Be able to pass a standard DBS check
- Be reliable, safety-focused, and able to work early mornings and shift patterns
