Driver Hire Gatwick is looking for dedicated and professional HGV Drivers to join our team. You\βll be responsible for delivering fuel to generators on customer sites for our client, and assisting with the delivery and collection of generators and equipment when required. This role primarily involves operating their fleet of vehicles, including an 18-tonne twin axle fuel tanker with a 13,000-litre capacity, as well as other HGV vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Fuel Delivery: Deliver fuel to generators on customer sites using a range of client vehicles, predominantly 18-tonne twin axle fuel tankers.
- Documentation: Complete all relevant delivery documentation accurately using a handheld tablet device.
- Safe Operations: Load and make deliveries in a safe and professional manner, always prioritizing safety protocols.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety regulations, tachograph regulations, and ADR regulations concerning the transportation of fuel.
- Relationship Building: Foster effective relationships with internal colleagues across the business to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Equipment Delivery/Collection: Assist with the delivery and collection of generators and other equipment as needed, utilizing the client\βs full fleet of HGV vehicles.
What We\βre Looking For
- A valid HGV license with relevant entitlements.
- ADR Licence (Class 3 Tanks and Packages minimum) and Diesel Awareness training are desirable (relevant training will be given if required).
- A flexible working attitude as weekend work will be required (Essential).
- A strong understanding of tachograph regulations and driver hours.
- Commitment to health and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
