Driver Hire Edinburgh West is currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers to work with a variety of clients across West Lothian. Typical Duties
- Trunking, single-drop, and multi-drop deliveries and collections
- General haulage and pallet network work
- A–B vehicle movements
- Loading and unloading as required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Maintaining full compliance with drivers’ hours, safety, and transport regulations
Driver Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum of 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience (essential)
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- No IN, DD, DR, or CD endorsements
- Strong understanding of drivers’ hours and transport legislation
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional, and flexible attitude
Pay Rates
PAYE Basic: £15.50 per hour (holiday pay accrued)
PAYE Advanced: £17.37 per hour
