Driver Hire Edinburgh West are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join their growing team. Based in West Lothian, our client is one of Scotland's leading road sweeping and site maintenance specialists, providing services to local authorities, construction companies, and industrial clients throughout Scotland.
The Role
- Operating specialist road sweeper vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Working closely with site managers, contractors, and customers
- Completing all relevant paperwork and records accurately
- Adhering to driver hours, health & safety, and company procedures
- Always representing the company professionally
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver hours and transport legislation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexible approach to working hours and locations
- Previous road sweeper, construction, plant, or specialist vehicle experience would be advantageous but full training may be provided for the right candidate
Pay Rates
- PAYE Basic: £14.50 per hour (holiday pay accrued)
- PAYE Advanced: £16.25 per hour
