Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Skip Driver for a full-time position with a busy and well-established client. This is a great opportunity for drivers seeking consistent, full-time hours with the potential for a long-term or permanent role.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday 6:00am starts
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Overtime available depending on workload
The Role
- Driving a Class 2 skip vehicle on scheduled routes
- Delivering, exchanging, and collecting skips at commercial and domestic sites
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times
- Providing a professional service to customers
Pay Rates
- PAYE: £14.50 per hour
- £19.32 per hour (overtime after 8 hours)
- PAYE Advanced: £16.25 per hour
- £21.66 per hour (overtime after 8 hours)
Minimum 40 hours per week. Weekly pay. Opportunity for permanent employment.
What You'll Need
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous skip or similar experience preferred
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
