We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Sales Consultant to join our team in Driver Hire Edinburgh (South Gyle branch) who will be here to support, mentor and train you to become proficient in the daily running of the business as well as building a successful desk of clients. You will have responsibility for clients in the Midlothian, East Lothian and Borders area so knowledge of this area is beneficial, or living in that area would be helpful.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Generating leads and winning new business
- Developing relationships with existing clients
- Arranging and attending client meetings face to face
- Cross-selling a range of services
- Data cleansing our in-house system
- Contacting relevant businesses within EH postcode area
- Attending networking events and local job fairs
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing calls
- Managing own and office emails
- Placing adverts for temporary and permanent roles using our own microsite, job search engines as well as social media
- CV screening and interviewing candidates
- Participation in our 24/7 on-call service on a rotation basis
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role - access to pool car or mileage paid. As this is a combined recruitment and sales focused role, you will be responsible for your own workload so good organisational and time-management skills are essential as well as excellent customer service skills. Previous experience working within customer service, sales, recruitment or logistics would be advantageous.
Full training and support will be provided covering our business, Driver Hire's in-house I.T. System and transport related legislation with a mix of on-the-job shadowing, training modules and our new Sales Academy. Driver Hire is UK's No.1 supplier of temporary and permanent staff to the transport and logistics sector. Hours and pay:
- Full time Office hours are Monday to Friday, 0900-1700 (office based EH12)
- Starting salary of £25,000 basic per annum plus uncapped bonus and commission OTE £35k within first year and progressing thereafter

- 28 days holiday (includes standard Bank Holidays) with an additional week after first two years of service
