Driver Hire Edinburgh City is recruiting a reliable and motivated Class 2 (Category C) Driver to support a well‑established local business, operating specialist sweeper vehicles across Edinburgh. Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply — full training is provided.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a left‑hand drive Class 2 sweeper vehicle (full training provided)
- Work on public roads and construction sites using specialist equipment
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and follow all health & safety procedures
- Navigate local routes safely and efficiently
- Complete basic paperwork and keep the vehicle clean and presentable
- Full UK Category C (Class 2) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Strong awareness of safety and attention to detail
- A positive, reliable, and proactive approach
- No previous sweeper experience required — training provided
- £14.00 per hour PAYE (£15.69 per hour including holiday pay)
- Monday to Friday work — weekends free
- Around 50 hours per week with consistent shifts
- Temp-to-perm opportunity after 12 weeks
- Weekly pay with ongoing support from Driver Hire
- A varied, hands‑on role with long‑term prospects
