Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a 3‑month contract with a well‑established food distribution company operating across Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Working Pattern
- Ongoing work for a 3‑month contract period
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts available
- Typical start times of 7:00am or 11:00am
- Full‑time hours with overtime opportunities during busy periods
Pay Rates
- Monday to Friday: £14.50 per hour (PAYE), £16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
- Overtime – after 8 hours: £19.32 per hour (PAYE), £21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
- Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
- Weekly pay
- Holiday pay accrued unless PAYE Advanced selected
The Role
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle delivering food products to customers
- Completing multi‑drop deliveries across local routes
- Working alongside a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing paperwork accurately
- Providing professional and friendly customer service

- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
