Class 2 (Category C) Drivers - Ad Hoc Holiday & Weekend Work
Location: Edinburgh East & West Depots
Pay Rates:
- PAYE: £15.95 per hour
- £23.93 per hour after 8 hours and on Saturdays
- £31.91 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays
- PAYE Advanced: £17.88 per hour
- £26.81 per hour after 8 hours and on Saturdays
- £35.76 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently looking for experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support one of our long-standing clients across their Edinburgh East and West depots. This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for flexible, ad-hoc work, whether you're looking to earn some extra income alongside your current job or want to pick up weekend and holiday cover shifts.
The Role
You'll be working on multi-drop delivery routes, helping to ensure goods are delivered safely and on time. Duties will include:
- Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle on multi-drop delivery routes
- Working alongside a Driver's Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Delivering products safely, on time and to a high standard
- Providing professional and friendly customer service at delivery locations

What We're Looking For
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Good communication and customer service skills
