Overview

Location: South Gyle Industrial Estate, Edinburgh

Pay: £14.00 - £17.59 per hour (depending on skills and experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday + every second Saturday (8am-12pm)

We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Class 2 Driver to join a busy timber and building materials supplier based in South Gyle. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established local business, offering long-term stability, a supportive team environment, and genuine career development. Your Main Duties:

  • Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle, delivering timber and building materials to customers
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials - heavy lifting is required
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate paperwork
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth delivery operations

What You’ll Need:

Essential:

  • Full UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Desirable:

  • HIAB licence or experience (preferred but not essential - training can be provided)
  • Experience in the timber or building trade
  • Previous commercial driving experience
