Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Bin Driver (Refuse Collection Driver) to join a busy operation in East Lothian. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable, long-term role with the potential to go permanent.

The Role

  • Driving a refuse collection vehicle on scheduled routes
  • Working as part of a team with loaders
  • Ensuring collections are completed safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks

Requirements

  • Valid UK driving licence (Category C required)
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Good knowledge of health & safety practices
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Pay & Benefits

  • £15.52 per hour (PAYE Basic)
  • £17.39 per hour (PAYE Advanced - includes holiday pay)
  • Overtime paid at: £20.68 (PAYE) £23.18 (PAYE Advanced)
  • Minimum 40 hours per week
  • Opportunity to secure a permanent contract
