Looking for a driving role with a permanent opportunity?
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting a Van Driver for an established food service and wholesale distribution company based in Edinburgh.
This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity, where you will work through Driver Hire for your first 12 weeks, with the opportunity to then be taken on permanently by our client.
The company supplies food products to businesses across the hospitality and catering industry, including restaurants, hotels and other food service establishments.
You’ll be carrying out multi-drop deliveries across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, providing a friendly and professional service to customers along the way.
The Role
- Monday to Friday working
- 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity
- Multi-drop deliveries across Edinburgh and surrounding areas
- Delivering food products to commercial customers
- Loading and unloading the van
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Providing excellent customer service
- Completing relevant delivery paperwork
- Working independently while also being part of a wider team
Pay Rates
PAYE
- £13.00 per hour
- £17.32 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £14.57 per hour
- £19.42 per hour after 8 hours
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous van driving experience preferred
- Experience with multi-drop deliveries would be an advantage
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable with loading and unloading
- Ability to work independently and manage your own delivery route
- Positive and flexible approach
- Someone looking for a role with the potential to become permanent
