Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Van Drivers for a full-time position with a well-established DIY and building supplies company operating across Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Working Pattern

  • Full-time, ongoing position Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts
  • Early morning starts (typically 7:00am)
  • Overtime available during busy periods

Pay Rates

  • PAYE Basic: £13.50 per hour
  • PAYE Basic Overtime: £17.99 per hour
  • PAYE Advanced: £15.13 per hour
  • PAYE Advanced Overtime: £20.16 per hour

Role

  • Delivering DIY and building materials to trade and residential customers
  • Completing multi-drop van deliveries across local routes
  • Assisting with loading and unloading when required
  • Ensuring goods are delivered safely, accurately, and on time
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks
  • Providing a professional and helpful customer service
  • Following all health & safety procedures

Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous van driving experience preferred
  • Maximum 9 penalty points (No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavier items
  • Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude
