We are looking for an ambitious and self‐driven Recruitment Administrator to join our team at Driver Hire Edinburgh. You will be fully supported by the team, with mentoring and training provided to help you become confident in the day‐to‐day running of the business, while also developing new skills as we continue our move towards a more digital office environment.
Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):- Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls
- Managing personal and shared office email inboxes
- Placing adverts for temporary and permanent roles via our microsite, job boards, and social media platforms
- Screening CVs and interviewing candidates
- Conducting Right to Work checks in line with current legislation
- Completing online DVLA licence checks
- Managing the bespoke Driver Hire online application portal
- Posting content across local social media channels (Facebook, X, and TikTok)
- Data cleansing and maintaining accuracy within our in‐house system
- Supporting the transition to a paperless office by scanning and digitising historic records
- Attending local job fairs and recruitment events
- Completing daily and weekly administrative tasks
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times
You will be responsible for managing your own workload, therefore strong organisational and time‐management skills are essential, along with a professional and customer‐focused approach. Previous experience in customer service, sales, recruitment, or logistics would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Training will cover our business operations, Driver Hire's in‐house IT systems, and relevant transport legislation, delivered through a combination of on‐the‐job shadowing, structured training modules, and our Sales Academy.

Hours and Pay- Full‐time position
- Office‐based role (EH12)
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
- Starting salary: £22,500 per annum
- 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing by an additional week after three years' service
- Pension contributions
- Opportunities to participate in on‐call duties (paid additionally)
