Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Bin Driver (Refuse Collection Driver) to join a busy operation in East Lothian. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable, long-term role with the potential to go permanent.
The Role
- Driving a refuse collection vehicle on scheduled routes
- Working as part of a team with loaders
- Ensuring collections are completed safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Maintaining a high standard of health & safety
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence (Category C required)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Good knowledge of health & safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Pay & Benefits
- £15.52 per hour (PAYE Basic)
- £17.39 per hour (PAYE Advanced - includes holiday pay)
- Overtime paid at: £20.68 (PAYE), £23.18 (PAYE Advanced)
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Opportunity to secure a permanent contract
